AccuLynx
Cloud-based business management software for roofing contractors.
About AccuLynx
AccuLynx provides cloud-based business management and CRM software tailored specifically for roofing and exterior contractors. The company was founded in 2008 by Richard Spanton, who, as the owner of a national roofing company, sought a more efficient way to manage his multi-location business. Spanton initially developed the software for internal use at his company, Mastercraft Exteriors, to unify disparate systems like Excel and Google Docs. Recognizing its market potential after other contractors and suppliers showed interest, he incorporated AccuLynx and brought it to market in 2009.
The company's business model is centered on providing a comprehensive, all-in-one Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that helps contractors manage every aspect of their operations. It targets small to medium-sized residential roofing and exteriors contractors. The platform operates on a quote-based pricing model which scales with the number of users and may include additional fees for certain add-on features and integrations.
AccuLynx's software includes a robust suite of tools designed to streamline workflows from lead acquisition to project completion. Core features encompass customer relationship management (CRM) for tracking the sales pipeline, lead management with AI-powered intelligence, and tools for creating professional estimates. The platform integrates with aerial measurement services like EagleView and GAF QuickMeasure to automate estimate creation. Project management functionalities include production and labor calendars, material ordering directly from suppliers like ABC Supply and SRS Distribution, and document management. Financial tools support job costing, invoicing, digital payment processing, and integration with accounting software such as QuickBooks and Sage Intacct. The system is accessible via web and mobile apps for iOS and Android, allowing teams to manage operations from the field.
Since its founding, AccuLynx has achieved several milestones. In 2016, Mike Stein, a seasoned technology executive from the founding team of Orbitz, was appointed CEO, with Spanton transitioning to the role of Chairman. The company has expanded its teams significantly to meet growing demand. In 2019, AccuLynx was acquired by Fortive Corporation, a diversified industrial growth company, a move intended to expand Fortive's presence in the construction industry.
