ScaleUp Porto launches Dealroom-powered Ecosystem Solution
ScaleUp Porto is the latest addition to the rapidly growing network of partners launching their own Dealroom-powered Ecosystem Solution.
Portugal has been one of Europe’s emerging tech ecosystems in recent years. As the second biggest city in the country, Porto is one of Europe’s fastest growing tech hubs in terms of active members according to a report launched by Atomico in the end of 2018. Well-known startups include Dashdash, Festicket, Veniam, Huub, Omniflow, Talkdesk; OutSystems will open an office soon). The city is also home to more than 30% of the top 25 Scaleups in the country.
Several national startups like Talkdesk have a second base in Porto thanks to its abundance in top development talent. International tech companies have also created offices in Porto. The list includes Hostelworld, Natixis, Euronext and PaddyPower/Betfair through Blip. One of Portugal’s biggest business groups with nearly €6 billion in revenues, Sonae, is based in the North of the country and is a highly active investor in startups and innovation.
