Introducing the EIT Health startup database – a European healthtech community

We’re pleased to launch the EIT Health startup database. The new open-access platform is dedicated to tracking EIT Health supported startups.
EIT Health provides acceleration support, grant funding and facilitates strategic connections for innovative European healthtech startups. EIT Health is a constituent ‘knowledge and innovation community’ (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT), focussed on innovation in health and ageing. With a philosophy that innovation flourishes best when the right people are brought together to share expertise, this new platform is complementing that vision, by providing data equity for all stakeholders in the EIT Health network and beyond.
The platform tracks 897 (and counting) EIT Health-supported startups, with data on funding levels, team background, growth metrics, and much more. The platform also catalogues exits, investors and accelerators of EIT Health startups.
Prospecting channel
The platform will ensure transparency of the EIT Health talent pipeline, and allow investors to explore the Healthtech startups have that received non-dilutive backing from EIT Health.
A dashboard highlights “hot” startups and scaleups, providing a quick snapshot of those to look out for, but users will also be able to take advantage of several flexible searching functions.
Founder tools
The platform includes a startup-investor matching tool. This can provide founders with a strong starting point for finding suitable investors based on sector, round stage and geography of previous deals.
Our aim, in partnership with EIT Health is to create a digital home of the EIT Health community, that can act as a knowledge-sharing meeting point for the “knowledge triangle” of business, research and education. And we’d love your input. Do explore the platform, and let us know what you think.
