Global influence

Helsinki has built a reputation of an important and influential innovation hub, as home to the open source project that gave the world Linux, one of the most important events on the European tech calendar (Slush), and one of only 10 European tech companies valued at over $10B – Supercell.

This new database captures and complements the rich mix of industry players and factors contributing to Helsinki’s tech sector, including accelerators, universities, support organizations, workspace and events, in addition to startups and scaleups like Small Giant Games, Wolt, HMD Global, and Smartly.io, and VC, private equity and corporate investors.

Fostering collaboration

A key feature of the database is the startup/investor matching tool. Founders and investors can find leads that match their requirements and interests. With the Helsinki database cataloguing 107 investors including Icebreaker VC, EQT Group, EIT Digital, VERSO Capital, Invesdor and Inventure, corporates like Nokia Corporation and Alma media, as well as 1.8K+ startups, this is a valuable tool, at a crucial time.
