Parametric insurance is not new, but it has been so far mostly restricted to property catastrophe reinsurance, an important application but still a small part of the P&C insurance world. Now its adoption in broader applications is accelerating, pioneered by companies such as FloodFlash, Exante, Understory, Parsyl, Desc
